Bev Beats Cancer, Round 2! November 2019 and Beyond!

Bev Beats Cancer, Round 2! November 2019 and Beyond! Good news: I can afford the next treatment in Jan – Feb 2020!! Solvable problem: Just not the flight and lodging- yet! So, the last two entries got us caught up to the present moment. As I write this it is Monday, November 4, 2019. And I looked at my budget with a couple of friends, made a lot of health decisions given that budget, and now have a very full agenda for treatments on the new tumor for the next three months, and even beyond.      And here’s the good news about it all: due to the last fundraiser, and a couple of very generous incoming donations from a very dear friend (more like […]

August – October… LOTS of health news!

Hello my preciousesssss! So the last time I sent out any health news was August 16, 2019. I did not post it on the Internet, but sent it out via email. At that moment it was all that I had energy for. So my apologies if some of you did not see it. I will be posting the August newsletter in a separate blog so you can see it there. To keep it brief and simple, I will share in bullet points what has transpired since early August. Mid late August 2019 Aug 16-17. Did my first liver / gallbladder flush. It’s designed to help remove toxins from that part of the body’s filtration system.  Was difficult, but felt really excellent afterwards. I was quite […]

Good News and Challenging News, Aug 2019

Hi everyone. Wanted to use email to deliver some news quickly to everyone all at once and then talk to you individually later. I’m doing a detox today and tonight which is tiring and I will be more available to chat tomorrow, Sunday, next week, etc. Oh, and btw, feel free to share this email with anyone and everyone who might need or want to see it. I’ve still got no secrets about my journey. And there are some people whose emails i don’t have since I might connect with them only via text or Facebook. Plus I may have forgotten some emails. I’m sleepy! So, some really good news, slightly good news and a bit of a challenge/opportunity. Really Good news- No metastases in […]

The Winning Stretch?!
2 Fundraisers in March 2019

Happy February 2019, month of love! So, am I behind on health news? Yes, a bit.  Do I shy away from social media? Yes, as I’m a social media chicken. But am I here now at last? Yes! To keep it short and sweet for the moment, here are some quick, happy, important messages about my health journey: My cancer numbers have gone down again! I found out Wed Feb 20 2019 that my circulating cancer stem cells and tumor cells have dropped again, from 3.4 to 3.0. Is this good? YES! In June 2018 I was at 3.4 and in December 2017 was at 4.0. To give you context: the closer I get to 2.0 or lower, the more likely I am to achieve […]

Happy Early Autumn 2018!

Happy Early Autumn 2018!  (this was written in Sept-Oct 2018) I am happy to report that I have a host of good news items to share with you all!! My integrative cancer doc is streamlining my cancer meds.  Due to financial exigencies, my cancer doctor in California is in the process of pairing down and streamlining the kinds and amounts of cancer meds that I’m taking. This will help me keep going on my program without breaking the bank. I am so excited to hear her suggestions. I’ll share them with you once she shares them with me, probably next newsletter blog.  Diagnostic mammogram in July showed no sign of new growth cancer! Because of this my breast surgeon suggested it was not too […]

Will Sing for Cancer Funding: Bev & Bro’s Ballad by Bono

Happy August 2018 everyone! If you click on the “Still Not in Remission” link above, you’ll get to hear my brother Gary and I bastardize U2’s “Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For,” unashamed to sing for my cancer healing fund. The new lyrics, now “Still Not in Remission” are by Gary Spangler! While I AM nearing remission, I have several therapies and tests left to take in 2018 to help me reach it. My monthly integrative cancer expenses still hover around 400$ a month – and they work! But aren’t covered by insurance. Please help if you can- .  Please share the video if you know of others who might. Any amount is truly appreciated!
